yesterday we left our car outside our field whilst we went to York in Daughter’s car.
This morning went to get new front tyres as others were nearing the limit, when the guy removed the nearside front wheel I noticed something odd about the alloy wheel centre cap, most of the coating had peeled away, when I got home I went to remove it the top part fell away revealing a previously poorly repaired bodge job.
Some no good chancer has swapped my good one for his crap one
Went to a peugeot dealer & was quoted £10.40 plus vat just for one, went to a breaker & got one for a quid

I had something similar with my first Mk IV Cortina - someone swapped the immaculate chrome wheel trim rings for a scuffed mankynset while the car was in a multi- story car park. I never understood why they put the manky set on instead of just nicking the good set.
