I took one to France last year with my mates, we all had the same ones as it made it easy to stick together coming out of Magny cours. Don't think u have to wear them on the bike, no-one else was. I have a few sat around!!Duck n Dive said:That just reminded me ... are high vis vests actually required for bikers in any european countries?
I noticed in France they have signs all along the peage about wearing them and all the French bikes I saw had them :dunno: ...... well actually they were Harleys
:-0)
Just thought it strange as the jolly old French tend to not to go in for that sort of stuff generally .. you know ... health & safety, drive sensible sort of thingy...

TANK0700 said:for the record did anyone find out if the carrying of high viz vests on motorbikes is a legal requirement in France
Better get a trailer Tank. All I took was the high viz. I'm just a maverick risk taker!!rudest1963 said:you need to carry a hi viz jacket with any form of transport, also triangle, first aid kit, complete bulb set
should have gone to spec savers.:-0)Duck n Dive said:If you wear specs you also need to have a spare set with you
And clean underpants!TANK0700 said:should have gone to spec savers.:-0)
you dont need the triangle for the bike but agree you need all the rest.

The law only came in on 1st July 2008, and I'd hate to fall foul to some over zealous Gendarme doing a spot check. d34l
