I did a job for a chap the other week who sells VW campers and Beetles which were still being made in Brazil until December. Dont know if it was a continuous production or a restarted model.

I seem to remember that the wonderful  Hillman Hunter was first made in 1966.
It is still made and sold in Iran ( roots sold the whole kit and kaboodle to them in late 1970's, when it was coming to the end of its run in Europe).
It was on a documentary t'other week on Discovery.

APRESENTA??O DO ?LTIMA EDICI?N
AOS ASSOCIADOS DO FUSCA CLUBE DO BRASIL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known as "fusca" here, the last unit was produced on july, 30, 2003 in Mexico to a total of 21.529.464 units produced worldwide, not a bad figure eh!
not the oldest maybe but sure the most sold car

I'm not sure, coz I had to go back to the same job a couple of weeks after, and he had no less than 3 brand new Beetles on the drive all registered on "55" plates.

Maybe it's that East German thing that has three cylinders, runs on fermented cow dung and has manually operated wipers. been in production for about 40 years and can be bought new today for about ?110 euros. I think an internet search is required to answer this one.
