If Stoner doesn't fall off he might win - but I'd love it if he had to EAT VALE's DUST on a track that strongly favours the Ducatis!

...Come on, Michelin -

...COME ON, VALE...!!!

...Spot on, Lebs... What a great race to watch, with Vale working his tail off to keep up with Stoner, while Hopper finally made it onto the podium! :yo:

A 15 point deficit is reminiscent of the 51 point lead held by Hayden last season - but this is a new battle that I hope will continue throughout the rest of the season (again! :p). If (and when) Valentino wins this war I believe it will be (to him) the most satisfying Championship victory of his career because it will complee the "set":

...Won on the "best" (RCV), the "worst" (M1) and (almost) the slowest (M1) bike in the field! k1ap k1ap :m

...Come on...

...COME ON, VALE !!! :neenaw:

scuse meee... If it was the slowest M1 bike out there how come he can put a lap in almost a second quicker than anyone else.. hey hey ???

please dont go the tyre excuse route again as that old chestnut is getting a bit thin.. mistry tyre problem the last round yawn... Rossi has ALWAYS had the best tyres available in moto GP ..fact..

Remember the Ducati is supposed to be a crap bike compared to the Honda's and Yams.. Stoner watched what Bayliss did on it last year and adopted the attitude that there is nothing wrong with the bike but the rider..

Stoner outraced Rossi in every department and forced him into errors and won the race on rider skill ... Its going to be a case of 'who wants it the most this season' and I think we have witnessed the former champs limits which have not been seen untill now..

There is going to be a brand new champ this season and while Ellias keeps on making new friends its going to be hard to pick which one.. The other riders have finally seen that Rossi isnt a god and instaed of thinking thatthey can beat him they now know they can beat him.. so for all you 'rose tinted ones' time is running out fast...

Dave?.. common sense, reasoned arguments and downright staring you in the face obvious just doesn?t work with these Rossi tinted types?. So I fear you?re wasting your breath mate?

:bang:

<o></o>BTW did you smile when the ?has-been? tried the old and tired ploy of trying to pressurise Stoner?

<o></o>Tina?.it don?t work any more! The others have sussed you dear, the mind games aren?t working?

man8um

<o></o>Did you notice her new ploy? Tina?s had the gravel traps removed so that when a Rossi overshoot happens (as it does every time he?s pressured) he hardly loses any time?.talk about bending the rules???.again!

<o></o>I think it?s so sad when someone doesn?t know when to quit, they carry on, showing themselves up, until finally it dawns on them?. Retiring at the top wasn?t an option though last year was it? he knew he?d lost so he had to re-sign?

:violin:

<o></o>Why did Hopper not clear off when she cocked up under pressure? Tina seemed to catch him too quickly and then he offered no fight. Strange as he had been catching her so easily?.

<o></o>Really showed just how slow that Yam was as he passed Hopper on the straight too didn?t it?.

:dunno:

<o></o>Gents have a great day tomorrow, wish I could have joined you. Keep em shiny side up ok?

Dave, thanks mate, I'll let you know later tonight.....

...Arrrrr....'Cos 'e's Fast, Mate....REELY FAST...!!! p0pc0rn41

The lap times don't lie, ya know - and while your little sewing circle chattiness makes it obvious that you're talking out of your bottoms it's interesting to note the absence of demotivation, self-pity or lack of confidence when you hear Rossi's analysis of his own performance within the context of the race as a whole. (I'm assumimg here that you've now completely abandonded your former support of Nicky Hayden, as you seem assiduously to avoid any mention of him since his most obvious demise -

- If it were Christmas I'd b singing: "Oh, Come all ye (not so) Faithful!!) p0pc0rn41

Anyway: here's what the Real Champ. says:

Valentino Rossi

?I enjoyed today a lot, it was a great race, a really exciting battle and my Yamaha was fantastic to the end. We knew that this track would be difficult for us so to be able to fight with Stoner at 100% for the entire race was a great feeling. Of course it?s not a win, but I think second place is a very good result for us here. I didn?t want to give up and just ride for second, I wanted to try to pass him and I made some good overtaking manoeuvres but wasn?t able to stay in front down the straight. Then I made a mistake when I hit a bump when braking, had to release the brake and ran off track. It was a pity, but when you?re riding on the limit lap after lap then things like this can happen; that?s racing! Anyway I knew I couldn?t give up, I had a nice battle with John and then was able to take second. I think these twenty points are really important and we?re still second in the championship. I?m really more sad for what happened in Turkey because if we hadn?t had the problem there then I might have been level with Stoner in the championship now. But the season is long and now we have several races in Europe at some of my favourite tracks and I think we?re in good shape for them!?

...So... The bloke on the 17th fastest bike has spoken...Watch the Ducati pass him (without the unnecessary aid of slipstreaming) to win by 3 or 4 seconds after Rossi has settled for second place.

...It's a long season, Girls... :k

...Mind you don't Prick yourself...

...(Again!) p0pc0rn41

(Just to prove that I remain unaffected by your mindless taunts...Assen is cancelled and I never want to speak to you two Bitches ever again (sob!))

hehehe the Honda's have been Eliasly out of it as late but mark my words they will be back before the season is out... probably be a case of too little too late the way Stoner is going at the moment tho..

cant knock Nicky for his effort he is trying his nuts off but I fear it wont be his year this time.. ... he will win races again soon tho

Assen mite as well be cancelled as Rossi probably wont bother turning up as he will be that far behind in the championship.. Im still going tho just to witness the rose tinted ones bawling in their beer first hand .. p0pc0rn41

JT on an Honda next year ??? or even Tina's mate when they sack Edwards ?? Now wouldnt that be nice to see a brit on a bike that has a chance :p

Be careful not to be making a rod for your own back here, M8ty. In a way, it's good that Rossi isn't on the F-Off Ducati 'cos we'd be hearing the tired old tale of "he's only winning 'cos of the bike!"...something which clearly applies only to "Crasher Casey"! R#?

17th fastest? Pray tell, your source for this? Or should that be your sauce?

:dunno:<o></o>

It didn?t look 17th fastest as he passed Hopper down the straight now did it?<o></o>

<o></o>This season is looking like a straight fight between two bikes. A fast one that don?t corner so well and a slow ?un that does. Depending on what track we?re at will determine the winner. <o></o>

<o></o>What we need is a rider capable of out riding the fast bike at a fast circuit. You know, a true champion, capable of beating anyone, perhaps the greatest rider of all time? <o></o>

Sadly we don?t have one of those?.

:violin:<o></o>

Now, how many times I gotta tell ya? I ain?t and I wasn?t a Nicky fan?. Nor a Dani fan, nor a anybody fan?.<o></o>

<o></o>Nicky does deserve a mention though, I see Michelin have chosen him above their other lesser riders to advertise their tyres?.

:yo:<o></o>

When will Tina be advertising his new sponsor? And how could they link Tina and the product?

Sorry m'dear thought that a little too easy....

2006 Rossi 2nd

Qatar Rossi 2nd

China Rossi 2nd

Turkey Rossi........ nowhere!

You were saying about a struggle?

Tina and Gez got it wrong. Trying to be too smart again. A racing motorcycle needs to go fast and go round corners.

At the moment the Dukes are winning, it won't always be so....

Think I'd still worry though, after all if it were just the bike, every Duke would be in front of Her.

Must be the rider too then.....

Ah-ha-a-ahhh!!!...Looks like he?s taken his medication ?cos there?s a bit of sense in this  - although, in my mind, there?s no doubt who?d be faster if both Rossi and Stoner were on Dukes, this season looks like becoming another epic struggle (good word, that!) for the Championship - with the odds seemingly in Stoner's favour. He has plenty of tracks to come where the top speed of the Ducati could be a major factor: Mugello, Catalunya, Sachsenring, Motegi, Sepang ? and I?d throw in Valencia too, on the basis of Bayliss?s win last year.

While Yamaha struggle for more power, Michelin seem to be struggling to find a tyre that will work for the bike, so it?s going to be uphill all the way for Vale, or so it seems.

I hope he gets the credit he deserves when he regains his title. b0x1 :p

I agree, what a titanic battle it will be for Her..... Rossi against a bike that's only good in a straight line with a rider who's learning not to crash and is maybe only not crashing because he's got a decent front tyre for a change..

So tough for Her....

Just like the days of Rainey, Schwantz and Lawson eh?

Or Roberts and Sheene?

Or Roberts and Spencer?

If She doesn't win this year, then she truly is finished.

Sorry mate, but unless Honda up their game, Tina will need shooting if she throws this one.
