Moist? Possitivly dripping!!!:yo::yo::yo:

Good on Tornado and the Peppercorn trust........ Should have let her pull Eurostars as well......

Early diesels were crap, the 37's could not be antifreezed unless special liner seals were fitted, waste of time antifreezing 47's as they leaked so much, bear in mind they take 45 gallons a time of AF!!:eek:

Having spent the last year fixing up locos from last years frost damage due to people not draining the things down properly, and seeing that the steam side of the railway had very few problems, I can only agree that the steam was best in this weather.....

Plus it looks fantasic at full popwer in a winters landscape as well :bow:

I spend every Thursday at Loughborough, on the Great Central Railway, as a volunteer with The 5305 Locomotive Association, who look after 70013 Oliver Cromwell, 30777 Sir Lamiel, Black 5 No. 45305, and a couple of them there diesel things. Tornado spent several weeks there to do trial runs on the double track at Loughborough, and I was able to get on the foot plate and examine her at very close quarters. Brilliant ! Just shows what you can achieve when you put your mind to it! If you've got 18 years to spare, that is!! Highly Recommended !!
