Just found a company that does hi viz jackets with additional battery powered lights on for extra visibility - particularly useful this time of year when car drivers don't see you properly even with lights on :bandit:

Before I splash out my ?30 has anybody bought or used these things before? Are they any good?

It's really hard sometimes to pick out a bike in a line of cars - hopefully this gadget will help!

Cheers!

Looks like a damn good idea, Stew. I've not come across them before, but it looks okay.

I wonder if you can position the neon to spell out words??:dunno:

"Get off my arse, you pratt!" would be good, amongst other suggestions!!!

haven't bought one and don't really mean to be negative BUT!!!!

its a tiny weeny strip of neon. Apparently the reflective strips don't show up that well behind the headlight, so is the strip strong enough to show?? I don't think the neon strip is big enough to make a difference from looking at the photos on the website, but then I am being negative,so . . . . . . :dunno:

But - if you like it and think it will help, then a flo jacket is always a bonus for warm and dryness, and in theory it is more visable, so go ahead!!!!

Point taken Smix, but there is mention on the web site that it enhances the standad EN471 reflective jacket, so it should be better! Plus the Neon cord can be removed for cleaning so you could put it on another jacket if you have a favourite (not that you would have a favourite hi viz jacket really....!)

Just get a small invertor, connect to battery, run a full set of Christmas lights in a circle around you and top off with a ballerina on the top of the Helmet. (And they still wont see you) man8um
