Anybody know who's stocking 'Bird specific 020 rears at the moment?

well according to Bridgestone techie department the specific were only developped for the german market and the difference between standards and specifics occurs only at ultra-high speeds bnch of liers, they wouldn't admit that there is indeed an inherent problem due to weight of bird making the bike wobbles AT ALL SPEEDS after 2000-3000 miles... my bike definitely behaves differently now compared to when the tyres were just fitted on the SAME TERRAIN... result of them lying? I wont replace my tyres with Bridgestone, and I'll tell anybody I know which kind of company they're dealing with before they buy their product... I mean, if all was hunkey dorey why would they lie?:shooter: So, it'll be specific avons for me, read 1200Pete post on the subject, look at the footprint comparison between Avons and Bridgestone, read what they have to say, and remember, Pete is a top rider, nuff said :xm

Having tried the efforts from Avon for the Bird after years of being a solid BT man, I can def recomend the Avon option... Give 1200 a mail mate.. he will sort you out within hours !
And yes, I completely agree with you Pierre, the standard 020's are just useless on a Bird after 2 or 3 K miles.. The centre bit on the front tyre is so much wider and wears so much slower. that is what causes the grief uke:

I only need a rear at the moment, and will probably give the Avons a go next time I need a pair, but for now its he 020 for me.
I've ordered a 'Bird specific one for ?128 delivered, which I didn't think was to bad.
