I don't personally rate EBC pads in any way much preferring Dunlopad

I have found EBC sintered to be good once they have a bit of heat in them.
Bendix sintered just as good as Ebc ,but dont seem to last as long .
And the original Honda pads ok too.

I also once fitted cheapo Goldfren pads..they wernt sintered, but were
absolutely shite. No bite or stopping power at all..they went into the bin
after a few weeks.

Personally its EBC always, perfect balance between wear and stopping power in wet or dry. Tried dunlopads and thought they were so bad they should be illegal to ride in the wet with

What sort of mileage do you get out of a set of pads? I put a new set on at this time last year, they are now ready to change. I must have done 6-7000 miles in that time.

Standard Honda ones for me. Find they fit well and provide excellent bite. My local dealer also price matches any non standard pad prices I throw at him!

Well I did ring 2 Honda main dealers for a full set front and back and one quoted ?97 and another quoted ?95.94. Both included vat but no delivery.

So as I've used them before I've ordered a full set front and back of ebc hh sintered from Jaws Motorcycles including vat and delivery which came in at ?76.32

I'm happy with that.

ebc okay after first swipe in rain, not nice, okay in dry, Hondas own are best and worth the money but I've used both to good effect. Get what YOU are comfortable with but and extra few quid for 20 000 miles of use isn't much is it?

20,000 miles??? I'm a bird forum member, That will take me 10 years to do that many miles :-0) :-0)

I have used ebc's before on most of my birds and never had a problem with them but like you said, it's what you are comfortable with.

Just as a by the by

I've traditionally used blue loctite threadlock for the caliper mounting bolts and copperslip for the back of the pads but it's been a while since I've done this. What are people using on their own bike?

Have you tried using your gearbox to control your speed rather than your brakes, Alex. 8rfl@

Gear......box?

I think my calipers might have been sticking a bit, the garage has needed to have them all apart and cleaned up again. I only did it last year!

I just torque up the caliper screws to the correct setting. Copaslip on the anti squeal plates. Clean the inside of the caliper, no oil or grease on the pistons. Clean off the titanium brake pins and lightly copaslip them
