Don't talk such bollox

All of the above are items with a known track record [no pun]

The cheapo brake pads were/are an unknown [and probably] untested-on-the-blackbird quantity

Just to save a few skinflint pennies

I was under the impression that brake pads were one of the MOST important "essentials" on any motorbike - yet some muppet wants to jeopardise safety of himself and other road users cos it might detract a few coppers from the "holiday fund"

The skintflint attitude of a lot of bikers today just beggars belief - ask Bob Pinder - he knows all about this subject d34l

Check Bob's signature line? Says it all really

I've made my point - other respectable bikers who I know have agreed - last contribution from me on the subject

So, originally, were EBC pads, Avon tyres, etc. I think we all know that new stuff comes up from time to time, which claims to be both better and cheaper - eg Storms vs 021s. I can't censure anyone for trying to find out if the newer kit is still untested or tested & useless as Johnny did. I could have a lot to say if he fitted them now and went for a few Ring laps, or didn't ask, fitted them, closed the track, etc, but he did ask and got a few sensible answers amongst all the others. Point made, I think - use what's recommended.

Yet you're quiet prepared to risk your safety by trying to save a few shillings on cheap brake pads ?????

Think you've gone off half-cocked there, me old fruit! He was only asking and from what John says, they appear to be as good if not better than EBC if you can afford to replace discs sooner!

Anyway, as the only person I know who went motocrossing on a 'bird hoping nobody noticed....and without knobblies too - what do you know?
