I have to change my pads but I was wondering should I stick to the standard type as per original fitment or use something else. The standard ones seem to be fine, not as sharp as my R1 braked Fazer, but is was a lighter bike. I don't want to increase disc wear, but I have been told that Sintered brakes would be an improvement but they can wear out discs quicker. Is this true? Your opinions would be appreciated.

The difference in wear on the discs is so small I ain't bovered.
The difference in performance far out weighs any wear issue so, I'd go for EBC HH sintered.

It depends how you ride. If you ride hard all the time and use maximum braking often , the wear on the discs is noticable with sintered pads. They give marginally better braking which may get you out of a scrape. Discs aren't that dear or hard to change. One set of pads won't make much difference to the life of the disc. Give them a try and see what you think.

If you ride as slow as Stan does  it wont be a problem but the ebc ones are just the job dude

Try SBS Street Excel.

They dont need de-glazing as often as EBC HH's.
