Now as this is my first bird and first bike with cbs how hard is it to fit new pads or does the cbs make no difference in how you fit new pads

In that case i'll save myself ?40 and do it myself. Wasn't sure if the cbs made any difference, Thanks :bow:

Get EBC sintered HH pads.Its amazing the difference you get.

Mind you, if your within distance I do a free fitting service too ! So you could always trundle on over ( nice ride out ) and get them fitted here :p

As it happens..

Fitted a pair to the rear of mine last night, took me all of ten mins.

If you have standard cans on you need a screwdriver tip, such as those out of a hand drill or impact screwdriver to get the retainer grub screw out, otherwise you have to remove the can.

Once the grub screw is out, an allen key removes the retaining pin and out pop the pads once you have pushed the pistons back home.

The fitting is the reverse, a piece of cake and you dont even get your hand dirty - brill.

Mines an XX2 and there's no grub screw, just a rubber push-on cover on the retaining pin.
