Is it possible to de-link the brakes on an ABS system.

Dont mind ABS on the front , but I want more control over the back.

Cheers

If its a blackbird, it aint got ABS .....

Just linked brakes, and yes, its possible to de link, using either a de link kit from JAWS or keep an eye open for a kit on ebay...

It will give you back full control over the braking system of your bird.

Best wishes,

Rolfy

It's a Varadero not a Bird, and it's got linked brakes and ABS.c7u8

This can be a complete pain when you're sliding down muddy gravel tracks and the bleddy ABS is kicking in and the rear pedal is tryin to stop the front as well !!!!!.:neenaw:

Dont mind ABS on the front but I need the back to lock up when needed. i'll call Jaws and see what we can do.

Ta for this advice.

I'll pop over to you on it so you can have a gander at it , will phone first tho.

Tried it today on some lanes and braking was a little scary, I could feel the front braking as well !!!

It's an 07 with 310 miles on it , do you think it will bugger up my warranty !!!:neenaw:

Oddly enough no !

The only thing that will not be covered is brake parts.. They can hardly say doing something to the brakes has caused a widget in the engine to fail.. and the criteria nowadays is they have to prove you have caused the failure.. This is why all that crap about having to have a vehicle serviced by a main dealer while under warranty is slowly dying a death... that particular bit of diatribe has been history for several years now !
