Is it as simple as the issue I had with more than one set of EBC pads on the Birds…………pads manufactured too thick? Solved by taking the anti squeal plates off the back. Its on my CBR125.. all seals replaced, sliders cleaned and are sliding with ease. new pistons, bores honed., master cylinder replaced with a loaner as also the brake pipe
I am baffled !!!
Be unlucky if that was the case on both master cylinders. The little bleeder hole in your master cylinder is blocked up.
Yes I had that with a set of EBC. I didnt think of your fix and spent ages with some sandpaper on a flat plate! Is it as simple as the issue I had with more than one set of EBC pads on the Birds…………pads manufactured too thick? Solved by taking the anti squeal plates off the back.
If it has an aftermarket lever then the actuating part can be slightly too long so it sits on the piston just a fraction depressing it and causing the brake to bindIts on my CBR125.. all seals replaced, sliders cleaned and are sliding with ease. new pistons, bores honed., master cylinder replaced with a loaner as also the brake pipe

I seem to remember having a problem with EBC pads on a Vtec which are the same. The thickness was Ok but the pads had a slight bend in them causing the bindingIs it as simple as the issue I had with more than one set of EBC pads on the Birds…………pads manufactured too thick? OEMDoes it have OEM discs or after market ones.?
I was thinking along the same lines last nightIf you have tried everything else then the caliper is the prime suspect plus if the previous owner had abused it might there be some warping going on.
OEM pads... and they are as flat as a flat thing that has been flattenedI seem to remember having a problem with EBC pads on a Vtec which are the same. The thickness was Ok but the pads had a slight bend in them causing the binding
All I can say is that with your expertise when it comes to bikes if you can't fix it no one canAs mentioned, borrowed a known good master and it did the same
It has got after market levers but there is plenty of slack, plus when I swapped over masters I used the lever that was on it
The pads are new but only because when I got the bike the issue was present and the twat had ridden in until the pads were worn out and the disk was fubah
i tell you lads, this has got me baffled.. I am starting to suspect some sort of partial blockage in the caliper.. Sadly the bike I was using to swap bits from is not local to me and it has had to go back to its owner as he uses it to commute
I was sure it was not caliper related so never swapped it.. I wish I had !
But if a swapped caliper did not cure the issue then what would I have done !!
Found a pre owned caliper on fleabay so might have to bite the bullet on that
Twisted / misaligned forks…like the thinking.Caliper and caliper bracket
Caliper and bracket cleaned, inspected, serviced and fitted
Fookin thing is exactly the same
Tomorrow I am putting a straight edge on the mounting points on the fork leg
What ever this is, it has GOT to be a weird one !!
