Just had a belting idea....

Yep its true a genuine helpfull idea with no catch.

How many people have suffered soggy unreadable tax discs when the moisture from washing, riding in the rain etc penetrates through the holder and makes all the ink run...

Today i got my new disc and prior to fitting it i covered it with waterproofing spray which is designed for footwear, 2 light coats each side, allow it to dry off then put it into the holder. I tested it on the old disc 1st then dropped it into the sink full of water  it came out fine. :yo:

I usually laminate mine

Snap !! Or if you don't have a laminator use the clear sticky back plastic film that is used for covering books.

Top idea though John.

Wolfie, mine pissed in like a cullinder and made it un-readable so today invested in a 'Red Fox' one and also waterproofed the disc. Bloody ?19 for a disc holder,, looks sturdy though.

So tell me Rhino,
why pay ?19.00 for a tax disk when I sell them ( the waterproof 'safe' type ) for ?16 ?
It seems to me that often folk on go out of their way and spend more just to avoid shopping at Jaws ! Quite amazing :p !!

I couldnt give a shit how my tax disc looks once I've bought the fecker cos its displayed within the holder that came with the bike. If the authorities don't like it .. feckin tough..
