Bolt or popper ?

noobie

Clueless in most things
Left hand side body panel where it attachs to the frame behind the kickstand mount.

It is missing it's securing item. I seem to remember/think? it's the black plastic popper we also use to hold the v piece in as well as the clock surround, or was it a bolt?

A Bolt m8, the one that gets covered in chain oil under the gear housing is a bit larger than most IE thicker, I use a Nordlock washer so I don't keep losing the bugger!!:dunno:

"Popper surely"

I always thought it was a popper as you described, although mine kept coming out so I use a Black nylon number plate screw and nut..

It should be a popper but they are notorious for falling out..
I do not even bother fitting one on my own bikes..
As Ian says though, a lot of people fit a bolt

I use number plate nut and bolt underneath the front fairing where the two side fairings join @tu*

Was fed up with those poxy poppers breaking and getting covered in crap. And there were the smaller size head type popper. If you haven't done this massive performance upgrade you haven't lived 8rfl@

I've just removed two of these number plate bolts from there and replaced them with the poppers. Hope I haven't made a mistake

Sounds like I have my next mod sorted, keep rubbing the heads off my poppers when dropping off the kerb.

Mine came from new with a bolt there. Quite like the small faring bolts but without the six small holes in them. I've never had one fall out, it's probably the only original faring bolt on the bike!
