Has anyone even considered that the thermostat may be stuck?

Bird overheating.

Dear Mr Centaur, Are trying to wind me up ? OK, I've taken the bait ! The bet was on the over revving. (Bike stood for 3 yrs = stale fuel = blocked injectors or jets & sticky needles) (do you agree ?) NOT on the overheating. I'd already agreed a stuck thermostat will cause it to overheat. Also, if it was me, I'd change me air filter too.
Yes I admit to trying to wind you up Len. It is almost the primary reason for most of being on here and it almost exclusively done in a good hearted way. We do have the odd prolonged tiffs. Congratulations on joining and I am sure Andy will be along soon to give Taffy's number.
No I won't - Len (him with the stuck thermostat) has apparently sent Taffy a PM - if there is no response i have asked Len (with the stuck thermostat) to let me know.
