Trust me, for each day looking after a grand child you need to multiply it by a factor of three to include recovery time.My Birdy is broken down at the moment, went for a ride around Ribblehead and Settle etc on New Years Eve (in the day time) got home then gave it a good clean in readiness for going over it the following day prior to its MOT later in the month.
New years day I went to start it and it was 100% dead, no click or flicker nowt, maybe a stray fire work had blown up the ecu in the night (numerous terminal scenarios went through my mind) eventually disconnected the 3 pin plug to the ignition and hot wired it and it fired instantly.
Today I was in the garage at 7:00am and re assembled the electrical gubbins of the ignition switch after having had the main red wire re soldered back onto it. Had intended finishing the job but my heart wasn't in it as we were to look after our recently arrived grand child for the 1st time today, besides which it was chucking it down too.
But was still a good day
That increases to a factor of five once they start crawling, and eight when they start walking.
