Does anyone know anything about this stuff?? A freind of mine picked up a leaflet on it at the weekend, as far as i can make out it's an oil additive, without PTFE and can be used in the engine oil, chain lube, marine outboard and inboard, car engines and gearboxes etc. What interested me was the fact that it says it can be used with wet clutches as well, i've heard of oil additives before but not one that can be used with a wet clutch.:dunno: :h

Hi, i personally wouldn't touch ANY additives especially slick 50, if you can find a list of ingredients(not many makers tell you whats in their product) you'll find they contain various metals which help lubrication. On the other hand there's plenty of research published on the web which suggests these additives actually reduce the effectiveness of the oil to lubricate the engine.

I'd stick with a good quality oil and change it regularly, a while back there was a feature in a bike mag about a guy who had done 200+ thousand miles on a 'bird with little more than regular changes of oil, he was using mainly mineral car oil.
If you do use it let us know how you get on.
Jim.

Neal, all I will say is use addatives at your peril in a Bird !
A fair old number of clever buggers (
