hi-ya all

can anybody offer some advice please, i've got a zumo 550 witch came with city navigator europe nt 2008 installed on it.

i've just bought city navigator europe nt 2010 what i can't figure out is how do i put the new map onto the zumo,

i've updated the mapsource software ican make a route and transfer it to the unit no problem , but when i look into the map info tab on the zumo it still only says that it's got the 2008 maps installed.

i also know this because if i search for local fuel it shows a local filling station which has been demolished for 18 months.

any ideas, ineed to get this sorted as am going on a european tour next friday so ideally want current maps and pi's

Its not a sumo but a garmin non the less. I just updated mine to 2009. I had a simular problem and what you may have to do is actually select the map pages that you want to upload to the unit. I had to highlight mine on the puter then upload to the unit. The tool tab you use to select hightight looks like a yellow page with the corner folded over.. sorry not at my puter at the moment.

If you have restricted memory you will only be able to fit a certain amount on, the memory each page/total is visible on the lower window frame on the puter. As mine's also mapsource I guess the features are simular.

Fingers cross for you.

not yet , only just got the dvd through the post been doing a bit of reading and it seems the 2008 maps that are installed on the zumo need to be deleted because there's not enough memory for them and all of the maps from the 2010 disc.

if you are just transferring a route from your pc with mapsource then you can transfer the maps along the route, that's ok but if your out and about and just want a petrol station then you need the new maps cause lots don't exist that are on theold maps
