If it's the 'pull' you can use a small keyring.
If it's the actual bit that fastens the teeth together (The pull head), then you are pooped.. New zip I'm afraid.
Some good cobblers will do them.

I agree with what Murt has said. I have a number of zips on boots & Jackets that have broken zip sliders I use fishing snap swivels very strong, small & do not rust.
its the fastener thingy. Looking at the boot the zip is pretty much 'one' with the boot, so god knows how a cobbler would be able to get a new one in there - might give it a go anyway...
If there not very old have a word with the makers... Sometimes a polite ' excellent bit of kit but I was surprised when... at the age...' email with a request for a fix can do the trick.
