HI

Just got the latest Busters motorcycle asscessories mag.

Art/Micron race cans for B/B ?220 the pair.

Is this good?
Will they just bolt on with out hidden extras like link pipes, mounts etc
On a scale of 1-10 how loud? 1 = road legal 10= GP bike

Does Jaws or pete do cheaper?

Thanks

New cans

I just had a set of Scorpion c/f ovals sent over (or under) to Oz for my BB,the quality, look and sound are just awesome  . They come in an "E" marked can with a removable baffle tube for race days although they're not much louder with it out. They are reasonably priced too, even cheaper than me buying a set of average cans here!

I had a really nice red anodised Micron can on my old CBR6. The colour faded very slightly after 2 years and it looked cracked when seen close-up, but I did treat the bike like a scabby dog and leave it out in the winter weather.

Carbon Microns are very good had them on a Fireblade, and S/S on a Fazer thou. both race cans.
I'm running Scorpion S/S race ovals on the B/B and I do have a Power Commander as well with no problems so I would recommend both. Although they are race cans in Spain there don't seem to be any rules on after market cans, my Fireblade had them on and it sailed through the ITV (MOT).
As to the ART ones.....My last bike in the UK was a ZX 9 E2 2002 model, I had an Art can fitted but it was a street legal type and to be honest the standard one was better. The problem I had was rejetting, I had a K&N jet kit fitted and the garage said they could only tune it to high or low revs but not both in all that cost ?200 for the can and ?150 to supply and fit the jet kit.
A couple of years later while chatting to someone about it all he reckoned the garage had pulled a fast one 'cos he had his done and his was OK. So make of that what you will, personally I think the garage I went to didn't do a proper job of mine and perhaps I should have chosen the garage more carefully

Microns

I've got a pair of carbon Microns on my bbird. Noise about 6 Look and sound great but if I were buying new I would buy the Scorpions? that Stan has with the baffle. I will keep mine on until I'm pulled and then they'll be back on ebay. Lovely while it lasts though. :lick:

the rules are the same as in the UK; if you don't have an "E" marked can you can (no pun intended  ) be done...........................the difference is that the police have better things to do, so they won't bother :yo:
