I had just stood up to go to the door when 'It is time to clap for the NHS' flashed on the screen

I could not help but think what on earth is going on?...............
I know it was well intentioned ( at least I hope it was ) but it instantly bought 1984 to mind

Was I being told by the state how to think ?

To some extent this has always been the case and I am sure nowt sinister was intended, but I still felt the message was ill conceived and snapped of the bad times in East Germany..

Next week I will be trying to work out who of the neighbours is the stasi stool pigeon !

It is turning into a circus so no matter how well intended I will not be getting up.

Now don't get me wrong, I am a miserable git but like Wootton Bassett. It started as a very local and sincere show of respect. Then it was mobbed by attention and greif whores bemanding to be front and centre because they served once and it was all about the 'eros'. I think RWB was glad when the repatriation flights were switched to Brize Norton.

Yup I did it once because nobody else did & we have a nurse in our street who is also a good friend, most of the twats around here thought I was nuts but now they are all at it

There's an old girl next door to us who has a carer visit about two or three times a day. She's in her late 70s, lives alone, recently out of hospital, has Addison's disease and COPD. I'd rather poke me head out the window and thank the carers for turning to.
