I am always horrified by the cost of Nespresso pods when I visit friends so I bought four reusable pods for a couple of quid and filled them with Lavazza coffee.

They didn't even notice the difference over two days usage. They did wonder why I kept making them coffee though.

I offered to look at a neighbour's central heating as they were convinced it wasn't working properly (two zone system). They had done a bit of research and were insistent that a two port valve had failed...i reckoned it was 'user error' but they weren't having that.

So I had a fiddle with the programmes, told them I had replaced the two port valve as I had a spare in my garage and hey, guess what, they are as happy as Larry, everything now working properly and I even got a 'I told you it was the two port valve' speech.
