Hello all

I'm a refugee from the Pan site. I had been one of those VFR people, but swapped for a Pan about 18 months ago, looking for more power & comfort. Unfortunately, I've found the Pan just too heavy for the twisty bits, and as a result now have a 2005 Bird (see below) :-0) I'd like a bit of advice though - my wife likes being on the back (more so than the Pan!) BUT....after about an hour or so, she gets terrible pain in her left knee (ligament I think). Any advice re. lowering pegs, raising pillion seat etc. I don't want to muck around too much with the ergonomics in case it upsets the riding position - which is bang on for me.

Many Thanks

Mark

Two things you can do
1) cut her left leg of (this may have a short term afect on the housework, but i'm sure she will adjust)
2) Get a devorce (you should be ok unless her name Heather Mills)

Nice bike and welcome

Although I've not done the mod I believe there are some options for lowering the rear pegs. Try a search or maybe someone who knows will pop along soon.

Maybe lower the pegs plus raise the seat??

Hi

My 'better half' had that problem with a std seat, when I changed to a Melboy gel seat not only did I find my 170 mile a day commute much more comfortable but SWMBO stopped suggesting a break at 80 miles when she was on the back!

Ahh what a helpful lot you all are :-0) Thanks for the welcome all. I think I'm going to go for the Melboy seat first, and if that doesn't work, I'll try the Buell peg thing.

Thanks Again!
