In that case
A) have a good hard look at yourself for encouraging someone to,sit in the dark staring at a screen at all hours and growing up socially inept
Or
B) get the cheapest one, preferably second hand
Got to be xbox but is the x worth the price difference?
Is it a Xbox or an Xbox?
If it's the original Xbox then even the S will be worth it. If it's a 360 then it depends...
If you've got a 4k TV with HDR then it's definitely worth getting the Xbox X or the PS4 Pro. If not, then it depends on the games that you've got.
Most games are now being developed with the power of the X and the Pro in mind, but not all of them take advantage of 4k.
I've just replaced my original PS4 for a Pro because of performance issues playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey (big framerate drops at times, occasional game freezes, long loading times, etc) and it's far better.
If you're playing games that are more than a year old then you'll not see much difference (load times mainly) , but more recent stuff will be better on the latest consoles. I've not upgraded to 4k yet, but I've seen the difference between 1080 and 4k with HDR and its a bit like Standard TV vs. 1080.
I’ve got a 4k ultra smart hd tv & to be honest don’t think there is a lot of difference in picture quality whatever the mode.
As on my other thread because x sounds like it starts with e then this is one exception to the rule.
You'll notice the difference with 4k on games that take advantage of it. The S model doesn't support 4k, a bit like the original PS4. I thought about the X but the PS4 Pro is around £100 cheaper and there's not enough of a difference between the two to justify the price difference.
Plus the X is the size of a small bungalow.
