Worrying bike theft Southend, Essex

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but just in case (as some of you are from round there):

It seems a guy pulled into the Half Way House on the A127 & 4 fellows got out of a van, beat him up & nicked his bike (he also lost some teeth!!!)

1 rode off on the bike & the other 3 left in the van..

In next week's MCN there will be a story of a guy from Scandinavia who saw a Harley on ebay, he arranged to fly into London and meet the owner at the airport to take a look at the bike.

He had the shit kicked out of him in the car park and ?12,000 in cash that was for payment on the bike stolen.

The Halfway House on the A127 is not Southend, in fact it's much nearer to Basildon, which is where one of the VFR members had his bike stolen last week. He was at work when some blokes from a white Transit pulled the shutters down on his office door (so he couldn't get out) and put his bike into the back of a white transit . This is a really nasty development to the way these scumbags work, I wonder if there is a link between the two cases?
