And 16 months for the previous offence? Fucks sake.
I was thinking much the same.
Local news had a story of a woman who embezzled £400,000 out of the company that she used to work for. Result - she gets 5 years. No deaths, no danger to anyone.
This twat killed 2 people while racing his mate and gets 16 months. Fast forward to now and he gets a ban for drink driving. WTF...?
He never even apologised in court. His only "remorse" was that he was "embarrassed". The ladyparts even had the nerve to ask if he could do a drink-driving awareness course (which would've got him a 22 week reduction in his ban).
His solicitors comment in court says it all - "...it was the one and only drink mistake on his record".
Oh wow. That's all-feckin'-right then.
And talking of scumbags who seem to be getting away with it....

Look at the sentence he got
Meppen-Walter must also serve a 12-month community order, do 80 hours' unpaid work and pay £170 in costs.
A biker I know got a £300 fine and 2 year ban for doing 115 on an almost deserted ( it was 3am ) M11
Where is the balance ??
There is none as the biker did not have the money to pay some top lawyer..
Until such time as it is officially recognised people can buy 'justice' ( officially as opposed to everyone knowing it and turning a blind eye ) the court system will remain a joke and a judicial travesty in our ( the prols ) eyes
