I have played in mixed teams specially in walking football & some of the women run rings round the men.
My youngest daughter was the best goalkeeper in her school but was not allowed to play in the boys team.
Which basically proves women are cheats and that doesn’t count.

You might be surprised. A pro women’s team played a schoolboy team of under 15s recently and the girls got hammered. The women look good on a level playing field but they cannot compete with men, not a chucking fance.
Don't forget the FA banned women from playing football at clubs grounds at a time when women football was attracting large crowds, this set women's football back a long way, ok the skills might not be the same as a premier league football, but they are improving every season that passes.

Having looked a bit deeper into this she isn’t as innocent as she would have us believe, whilst playing for Birmingham she received a substantial ban for making racist remarks. How did she get a job as a pundit? Andy Gray was sacked from Sky for making sexist remarks.
What she said 'could' be 100 percent correct. That covid break may have done the team the world of good by resting the players.
If you look at the end of Liverpool's season, it nearly went the other way, the covid break initially stalled their momentum.

There are a lot of people who have said things that are not as PC as they maybe should be.
But in today's world it is very often blown out of all proportion by keyboard warriors.

Her racist remarks may be no worse than we have read on here, based around the BLM.
Which from the way I have perceived them, it's not a case of racism but more a case of resentment that the PC brigade have pushed the
native white majority population way down the pecking list!

ps. Hasn't there just been a court ruling to do with freedom of speach?

She was banned for telling another player to “fuck off back to Spain”, I believe there were other incidents.

They are indeed improving. My biggest beef is having the two versions on the same sports page of the BBC; they should be on separate pages and not mixed. I also don’t like women commentators on men’s games either. Plenty of the male commentators get on my nerves; again, I just don’t like mixing.

Poof.

You fancied her chances against anyone on here, which is hardly reasonable. No one on here is/was, as far as I’m aware, a professional footballist. I very much doubt she could keep up with anyone on here on a bike; pointless comparison. The point is, she wouldn’t stand a chance against male professionals.
I know of at least one current contributor on here who was paid for playing football.

Why not?

Surely it is based on ability to fulfil the role?

Whether or not they can fulfil the role is, to me, irrelevant. I don’t like hearing the heightened excitement of a woman’s voice when, for example, a striker is bearing down on goal. It’s plain wrong. That sounds sexist AF, I know, and I couldn’t care less. It’s what I’m used to and I don’t like change. If I was an entitled millennial, I’d possibly think differently but I’m not and I don’t.

It aligns with what I’ve said in a previous post above where the BBC are intent on forcing women’s football upon us by mixing the two genders under one heading on the website. I am not ok with it.
