Now you tell me what bike manufacturer [or car for that matter] could produce a quality piece of kit that, after 3 months of "neglect" would fire up like that?

Er well, getting back to your original point, this weekend I actually got around to cleaning the bikes in me garage, and my TRX850 which hasn't been used since August last year, fired up on second stab of starter..................

and then I jump started the 'Bird from the Yamaha.

"Quality"?????? don't make me larf.

Remember this bitch had a new battery in August!!! (2 actually)

sigh:mad:

(amazed I'm so calm, sorry, is that your cats' throat I'm squeezing ?)

Didn't know anything about it. Any details like when ?

I'd love to attend, can't speak for the B'Bird though !

re: the starting:
Once the bike was up and running she was fine, just a bit disappointed that the battery didn't have enough juice. 2 new batteries in August, but the Yamaha one was the original and that held it's charge ok. Yep, it's a Friday-afternoon, 2-minutes-to teabreak-just-before-a-Bank Holiday Monday bike.

:dunno:

That's why I choose to buy the friggin' thing in the first place ! So much for research eh!

It's a good job I can sort of see the funny side of all this, and let's face it, if you didn't all laugh at my woes, apart from Bert, what else would you all laugh at !!!!:} :}

I will get this bitch bike from hell sorted, or sold on for something else. My biggest gripe I suppose is that I bought a load of extras for the bike, which is money down the drain if I sell it on.

oh well, back to see the bank manager...........

Mike

MIKE.........

Before you do sell it, take all the goodies off and list them on here.
You can then feel good about passing on some cheap extras and recouping a few quid.

MikeW, never mind mate, coulld be worse, you cudda bought a Busa!!

 Anyway sod Mr Picquet's suggestion, best thing to do with ya extras is, when/if you sell the bike, list the bits and PM them to me and let me have first refusal :} :} (selfish bastid)

furry fasteners

Just sorted all my furry fasteners!
Rub some autosol into a thick cloth, lay the cloth on a flat surface, rub the fastener over it, hey presto-mirror finish fastener!
I'll admit it did take a couple of hours to do them all but if you can spare the time spent and the boredom of it the result looks good
