Hello
It is coming up to my first tyre change on the bird , I currently have D208 on the bike have found them ok. And would like to try a different make maby Metzeler. I ride every day and do some long distance trips so i need something which lasts the distance.

Tnx

You are asking summat which is NEARLY as important as which colour your Bbird is! Put tyres into the site search engine and get a VERY large drink to hand and prepare to spend a few hours. Most peeps here use either Bridgestone 020's, Avon 45/46 or the rich peeps Avon Vipers. Make sure you get Bbird specific tyres as the weight can cause a problem to ordinary tyres ......or according to some......elderly frames....like mine.....Welcome to the site. c7u8

Yup.. either Avons or Bridgestones.. I used to be a Bridgestone man but since the new ST Avons I got converted :p

Generally Dunlops are refered to on this forum as Dunplops. and for bloody good reason when you compair them to others around !

I'd go with the Avon 45/46's too.

Even though I'd only really scrubbed them in when I had a "bit of an off":eek:
They did seem to suit the 'Bird and my riding style...

The tyres had nothing to do with the crash but did give good all round feedback in all conditions (even upsidedown):}
