Many moons ago when I worked for JCB the main company bought as many JCB registration numbers as possible, at one time purchased 10 or 12 scooters in order to get a specific sequence of numbers. So for example JCB1 , JCB2, JCB3 and so on were for management and senior sales people. 1JCB, 2JCB etc. would be for work vans and trucks.
