Shows the average age of this forum ( though 45's are making a come back in a big way )

I had a few records that I was given as presents, but the first 45 I bought was Johnny, Remember Me, by John Leyton ..... It was 1961... I was 12 years old, and I bought it Woolworths, Barking

Sugar Sugar by The Archie's.

My brother bought his first record at the same time..... Two Little Boys by Rolf Harris :yikes:. It made no,sense at the time, looks even worse now!!

Woolworths in Derbynwas the scene of the crime, probably 1969?

From the age of thirteen I had the good sense to step out with a young lady who's father had a business supplying 45s to jukeboxes in pubs so I was on freebies for about four years.. He also had a 5.3 E-Type in Primrose Yellow and Rover P6 3.5 V8 in Tobacco Brown.

I bought the album rather than the single - Mud Rocks if I remember correctly.

Weirdly the extremely camp bass player went on to write and produce some of the best dance tracks ever, including I Can't Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie.
