One of the British national daily newspapers is asking readers "what it means to be British?". Some of the emails are hilarious but this is one from a chap in Switzerland...

"Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for A Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. And the most British thing of all?

We work 12 months to earn enough money to get out of the place, only to spend 2 weeks in nation that's trying to get here, can we not just do a straight swop? :dunno:

Heard on the radio today that there's a remake of the Dambusters film going to be made..... problem is the PC brigade are already in there saying the dog will have to be renamed if it's included otherwise it's offensive.


So now history will be re-written to fit political correctness......George Orwell was right if just a little out on the actual date..
