Daughter sold a solid oak cot via t’internet, clearly stipulates “cash on collection” daughter is in York so asked me to go round & meet the buyers, woman & boyfriend turn up in a newish van, she says I’ve just transferred the money via paypal, I phoned daughter who says she will refund it as paypal will take a cut, woman says I’ve not brought any money, she ended up transferring it to my daughter’s bank account, I had to wait for daughter to confirm the transfer had gone through before I let them take the cot.
If you state cash on collection why do buyers choose to ignore it?

When I first met the wife she was selling her red Ford Fiesta.
Pictures clearly showed it as red, description clearly stated it was red. First guy to come around for a look said, on seeing the car, "I didn't realise it was red".
"You did see the advert, didn't you..?"
"Yes".

no surprise, until recently the shop I work in was taking card payments only, and signs all around the store stated this. I lost count of the number of people getting to the till and getting cash out, then getting abusive when told we didn't take cash

It's the same reason that off road cyclists can't see the new ten foot long sign at the start of the clifftop path here that says 'no cycling'.

Or see a red light & keep going, or see a cycle path & ride in the middle of the road...

At a city centre junction I saw a cyclist crossing the junction in between traffic going across his path. I don't know how he managed it.

I passed one the other day riding down the middle of the road. Ok I'd give him that due to the parked cars, but with no hands on the handlebars and no eyes on the road either because both are fixed firmly on his phone while texting? I was sorely tempted to give him a blast of my car horn as I passed to see if he fell off, but couldn't be arsed with the paperwork after.
