Do you remember a few weeks ago I posted on here about a woman that had pulled across the path of a Motorcyclist killing him instantly - the bloke behind her had said she was waiting for her electric gates to open and that he had seen the bike coming?
She was in court yesterday - result?
Fine of ?500 and six points!
Magistrate said that as she has shown remorse and that she has never been involved in an accident before he was going to treat her leniently.
I shall refrain from making any comment as I have just read it and am mightily pissed off!

You sure she was not paid ?500 to kill a biker? She might well have been with a piss poor fine like that.

We have a case on the Island, women did a U turn just over the brow of a hill, biker went into the side of her, he died 7 hours later. Witnesses have all said the biker was riding within the law, and sensibly, her case has been adjourned for a while (She is still driving around on bail) Reason she did a U turn, she could not be arsed to drive a further 300yds to a roundabout!! Makes me wanna :puke:

Had a case like that on the Clacton bypass in the summer. Volvo, (What else) decided to do a u-turn on the carrigeway, took out one biker and his pillion. didnt hear what the outcome was though, probably got away with it claiming "The bike must have been speeding, he wasnt there a second ago" despite the fact he probably never checked his mirrors!
