I guess it's not good to have any animal crap in your garden.

How do you think it can be prevented?

When my daughter was having her garden landscaped she had a pile of sand at the front of her garden, all the cats in the street used it as a toilet & it stank horrible, local kids used to play in the sand (despite being told not to) daughter ended up telling the parents that it was full of cat piss & shit & not suitable for kids to play in.

Didn't think that would be possible.
Isn't there something like a 2m height limit for a back garden fence?
It depends, I’ve seen hedges over twenty foot & nobody allowed to cut them.
2m fence panel with a greased rotating steel roller on top, expensive but stops animals climbing on it.

Who gives a fook about animals crapping.

Any #### who just turfs an animal out because it's inconvenient to them because they want to go away for a few days is a twunt.

Our first cat had a dog as his best friend.

The dog was a small terrier and would escape to visit us whenever it could. Wouldn't come near us, only the cat.

The cat and dog would take it in turns chasing each other around the front garden.

When someone walked by they'd stop, sit side by side watching the person pass and they'd carry on.

Often we'd come back from shopping to find the dog sitting outside our front door waiting for the cat.

Quite simple with cats... make owners provide a sand box in their OWN gardens

Scaredy cat plant keeps most but all not cats away (cant remember the proper name)

The little boxes that make a noise out of the range of human hearing also work but no good if you have a dog or a child under about 16 as it makes both feel unwell or uncomfortable (exactly the same as used by some shops to stop gangs of troublesome youths gathering outside shops etc)

It is.

Apparently mine are animal cruelty and filling John’s garden with cat poo.

Learn something new every day…….

If your normal MO was to lock your cat out for days while you went away then, yes, as far as I am concerned that IS cruelty.
If someone is not going to take full responsibllity for their pets care then don't have one.
