The circuit breakers for the house lights keeps tripping. Started yesterday & have been trying to get an electrician since. Phoned 2 yesterday & left messages on their mobile, another 2 today. One said he'd get back to me before 1.00pm, the other didn't answer so a message was left.

Later, I'll be bringing my inspection lamps in from the garage later so I have enough light in the kitchen to cook dinner.
Could be as simple as an iffy bulb. Process of elimination…….

Possible but this is an over current trip. Caused by a live wire touching a neutral or an earth. If all the lights are switched off it's unlikely to be a bulb. It will be a live to a switch causing the issue. I'd be getting my trusty inspection camera out and having a good look at the wiring over the porch first. Them little bastards have sharp teeth and can strip insulation faster than I can.

Electrics fixed, just spent a while with the electrician after 3 didn't bother getting back to me & one couldn't do anything until at least 7t Feb.

As suspected, it was a rat that bit into a cable outside. that circuit has now been isolated & we have lights again.

Now I've got some work to catch up with.

Finished refitting the clutch and ancillaries to the Commando this morning. Then I also managed to fit a s/h Givi rack to the kwickasfuki that I’d found on the z900rs forum at a very good price. I had almost pulled the trigger on the same thing direct from the supplier - saved almost £70. Sorted! IMG_6100.jpeg

My daughter’s oven sometimes trips the electric, don’t know why, she had a new kitchen about 8 years ago & a top of the range integrated neff oven installed.

That will be one of the heating elements slowly breaking down. It will blow up completely at some point so you'll know which one it is! They usually go on Christmas eve if that helps any?

This, exactly this, happened to us on Christmas Eve last year. Just as well we have a double oven.

Mrs P changed the elements over a couple of days later; she bought two this time so we have a spare for this Christmas.

Beware of exploding air fryers, apparently, don't know why, but saw a few reports.
