I’m going in with her to the gp and start a rant. Which is what I did some years ago with her manager at work and he refused to see her with me present because he thought I was going to punch him (yes I would have). However my rant got her a redundancy package and a pension which others in her situation didn’t. This is when her part time hours were cut back and back until there was no work. I fought the County Council and won. One proviso was a non-conflict clause, she wasn’t allowed to work for the CC again. She didn’t but ended up employed by a subcontractor to the CC. Oh what fun :)

Put eight bird boxes up in the garden.

And a carpenter bee house.

Hooked up the battery conditioner to the car as we aren’t doing much mileage at the moment.

Who said retirement wasn’t exciting?

Upset the local Lib Dem ’Parliamentary Representative ‘ whatever the hell that is. Think it roughly translates to ‘nobody voted for me at the last election so I need a good job title’.

Not a bad day after all……..

I recall people outside the village bringing in batteries to the garage on handlebars of bicycles to be recharged.

These were people who didn't have electricity and used them for the radio.
Hard to believe.

Had a corporate day at work today. A trip to horse racing stables... Had a great insight into the world of horse racing.... Then moved on to hospitality at Warwick Races.... First race meeting I'd ever been to...
