Got a phone call from eldest daughter “help, I’ve bought a new bed & can’t work out how it goes together” drove over to hers, half an hour later bed all fitted together & me on my way home leaving my happy daughter behind.

Went to Morrison’s at 6:15am to get some shopping in for my poorly mum.
Brilliant time of day to do it, hardly anyone there, car parking a doddle.
After dropping the shopping off came home and fell asleep on the sofa

Organised a curry night for Thursday. Within walking distance as well….result!

Attended the funeral of Bev’s uncle George, a self made multi millionaire who lost it all due to trusting the wrong people, a larger than life character with a heart of pure gold.
We had lunch in a ‘Bill’s’ yesterday, really surprised at how good the food was and the service was impecc.
Life is full of surprises.
I have always thought that everyone leaving education should work in the food service sector for a year, brilliant place to learn life skills. My son worked in a friend’s restaurant In Cyprus for a couple of summers While at university…he went a boy, came back a man. In more ways than one, but that’s another story…..
