Try a Joe Rocket Alter Ego textile jacket, I got one about 2 mths ago when I got my BB, cost me $360 AUD delivered from DSR Powersports in the US ( saved $140 ). I think it is the greatest as you can ride around as a normal jacket from 10c - 28c with a polo shirt underneath no probs ( maybe a little warm at lights at 28c ). Once you go over 28c the front, back and side of the jacket zips off leaving a open weave mesh fabric that just has the textile panels down the outside of the arm where the armour is. There is also armour in the back of the jacket that is slipped into a pocket in the mesh so even in 38c temps here in Aus it is nice and cool and you still have protection in the event of an offsh1tehppns ! For the wet weather it also has an internal liner that zips in that is supposed to be waterproof! I have not had a call to use the liner yet as Perth is having a good run of sunny weather but even if it is not waterproof it should still keep most of the water out as well as cutting the cool wind when it goes below 10c. The XXXL fits me ( 52" waist ), I just wish their matching pants went above 46" :xm ( All those types of pants seem to be the same - I have Draggin jeans with kevlar panels )
