Going through our old photos this afternoon, I came across this pic taken at the Autosports show at the NEC some years ago (about 7 years, I think) I believe its of the origional Penske anniversary edition bird. But no doubt, someone will correct me...

Whoever would have though that I would own a bike of this type.
I know mine is a (fast) blue one, but who cares, "Its a bird" and thats what counts. And I look back over all the great friends we have made since we first bought it, and it makes me feel very humble indeed.

Suzuki stinger 125..... had it brand new, and I had never ridden a bike before.... Whoops, had it delivered to me mums place, then took 20 mins before I took it out on the road...

That there Bird is one of only 50 made for Hondas 50th Anniversary. They were knocked up I believe 1999 or 2000 by V&M racing. Rebored to 1200 175bhp at back wheel. All have a small plate on yoke with number of 50. Penske suspension used. ?16,000 brand new. Very fast mothers.:lick:

And one came up for sale last year.. Somewhere down south ( Superbob who ended up buying a Blade ) found it..
From memory it was up for 7 grand...

Did a quick check on some old stuff and apparently the one SB found was in kent and was up for 11K
Looks like there was at least two up for grabs last year !
