I think I recall it being mentioned that having an Australian visa revoked automatically denies entry to Australia for a further three years.

As an outsider looking in I can’t help thinking that the tennister’s dad has a lot to answer for here as he stirred it up into an ‘antiSerbia’ issue (there are a lot of Serbs in Australia) and managed to get the Serbian PM involved in his campaign. Both have egg on their faces now.

Which I suppose is better than having faeces on your egg.

I thought the Serbian PM (is it male or female?) was telling Djokovic to suck it up.

No,he was wrapped round the little finger of the tennisters camp. Of course That may have changed after latest developments…..

Sooooo, other than making false declaration on his arrival form (not his fault apparently:rolleyes:) and visiting a tennis centre to be interviewed the day after a positive test he hasn’t done anything wrong.
I'm not sure of the legal business involved but if he hasn't done anything wrong, is he being deported for his views on the vaccine?

He has lied (or someone has lied on his behalf) he has broken the rules for entry into Australia, ie visiting other Countries within the time frame, his parents have stirred up trouble, nobody is above the law

Aussie radio station SY2GB apparently broadcast the following:

"Breaking News...

Justice has been Serbed - score AUS 1 Serb 0....... No love"

As for what he's done wrong, failed to meet the entry requirements.

For any of us entering another country we are required to meet their rules for entry.
He didn't, he also lied/made errors on his visa application.

It would seem the Auusies also decided that he was a disruptive influence and that there were other inconsistencies in his claimed position against information in the public domain (interview with French journalist day after apparently testing positive, other public engagements, visiting other countries prior to entering Australia etc).

If you don’t follow the rules then you can expect to be punished.

But he’s not actually left the country yet. I’ll be happier when he’s gone. Will there be yet another twist? It’s surprising what money buys.

There doesn’t appear to be any doubt that lies were told to get a visa.

As stated before I think he has largely brought this all upon himself by bringing attention to himself. He is entitled to be ‘anti vax’ but like many who feel entitled (as he and his entourage appear to) he seems to think that the rest of the world want to hang on his every word. Sadly there are plenty who do in the celebrity obsessed world we live in.

His dad hasn’t helped, turning it into a ‘it’s because he is a Serb’ issue and the Serb president was played like a fool by the tennister camp.

Zero sympathy from me, and it appears the rest of the tennisters in Australia for the tournament are of a similar frame of mind.

He should have known better.
Watching programmes regarding immigration the Oz have zero tolerance.

I was waiting in the queue, I was leaving Oz at the time as far as I recall, I was next near the hatch. I was just looking around, I had noticed the red line on the carpeting but assumed it was just part of the pattern.

The guy behind the glass screen lost it completely. "Get behind the red line"
My foot was about 100mm over the line.

I didn't bother reaction as I did need a night at government's expense, I just wanted to get home.

I’ve read that he could also be barred from the French Open if they require a Covid pass :icon_popcorn:
