Whilst you are down that way, you could also pop in to the Moto Guzzi privately owned museum at Mandello del Lario.. They are very welcoming ( esp of english visitors ) and last time we went there they even brought us out a big tray of ice cold drinks !
Don't fanny around with bike stuff in Italy, go to maranello to tour the Ferrari museum then hire an F430 and driver for a 30 minute blast for the ride of your life. Best ?80 odd you will ever spend.
Cars are just so much better than bikes.
By the way, if you go and see the Statue of David in Florence (and you should), try not to say 'the hands are to big' because apparently that doesn't go down well. Trust me, I know these things.sh1tehppns
