Hi Russ

Sorry that this post is off topic but I've cunningly managed to lose your email addy (again)! Have you been contacted by someone called simon, a fellow 'bird owner who is planning to tour NZ next year? I suggested he got in touch with you through BIRD for your perspective to help him with planning. I've offered any assistance at this end.

Enjoy the Bash everyone - wish I was there!

Geoff

Here comes another off topic reply !!

Not sure if I can get PM's any more but my email is russquinlan at dsl dot pipex dot com :-0)

Now we're back from the good ol US of A Janice and moi have already stated planning our tour next year. Looks like we'll be starting the tour in Auckland on the 14th Feb, riding down the North Island (popping in to see you and your good lady of course on the way!) and then over to the South Island, flying back home on the 9th March from Christchurch.

We will be booking the flights tonight and will be booking some Silver Fern B&Bs once we're decided where to visit (thanks for all those details on the North Island). I'm test riding a Pan European in a weeks time to make sure my legs fit it (not getting the bloody Beemer Tractor again!) and then I'll be putting a deposit down on one for the hire from GOTourNZ, the guys we hired off last year.
So as you can see we've been busy little bees !!

If you ask Simon to email me at the above address I can easy give him some pointers.

I expect you are enjoying life even more now you're semi retired, as long as Jenny can put up with you being at home for longer !!

Thanks Russ, Much appreciated and look forward to hearing about your USA tour in due course! Pan sounds a good choice for NZ, but you'll have to ride a certain Blackbird round part of the Coromandel Peninsula, it's the least I could do on those roads

Yep, life is pretty sweet. Doing a bit of consulting to stop Jennie sticking a knife in my ribs, but more leisure time is great. (Well, it would be if she didn't stop finding me decorating jobs :xm ) :-0)

Cheers mate and love to Janice,

Geoff

Suddenly, having to work the Sun morning of the Bash doesn't seem so bad after all... Looking at that forecast, no work'll get done - just some free tea & coffee drunk, before popping over to the campsite for the rest of the day, night, & Mon morning :-0)
