Weather Watch – Ponderosa – Sunday 19 January

Discussion in 'B.I.R.D. rideout scheduler' started by Dark Angel, Jan 12, 2020.

As it says – watching the weather over The Ponderosa for no other
reason than that the place has been mentioned several times recently.

All forecasts vary, I know, but predictions for Sunday 19 January are
for a dry day and reasonable temeratures. Therefore, the potential for a
ride/meet/butty/gab session seems high for like-minded folk on here.
(Saturday 18 January – a chance of an afternoon shower.)

I'll be keeping an eye on it, and here’s a link so you can too, ifyer like.

Thank you, Mr Beaker, for your notification of absence from this event.

I am sure that your non-appearance will effect a significant impact upon attendance numbers,
therefore, I have taken the precaution of doubling the allocation of officers on crowd control,
first aid, food, and traffic escort duties, respectively.

    Have a nice day.

I doubt I'll be able to do a longish ride on Sunday.

I may bimble up to Rivi Barn fer a brew though.

Probably too short of a ride for you though, DA?

Well, chaps, the forecasts seem to be holding reasonably steady for the weekend.

If there is anyone listening out there, the plan is to meet and greet at the
M56 Stretton Roundabout, Junction 10. From there, a quick squirt down
the motorway to Runcorn, then onto the “A” roads to the Ponderosa –
plenty of places for “teas and pees” on the way for those who feel the need. :icon_cafe:

Google Earth says it’s fifty minutes from J10 to Ponderosa, so, add 45 minutes
extra and it’s an easy bimble. :naughty2:

After a Ponderosa brew and a bite to eat, continue down through Llangollen
and back up the A49 to the Stretton roundabout for farewells and dispersal.
Again, plenty of opportunities for “Teas and pees” on the homeward leg
(or down yer leg if ya leave it too long)! :p

The map should give you an idea of where the roads go. :motorino:

    Meet up eleven-ish.

    Leave the Ponderosa two-ish.

Back at Stretton four-ish - easy!

Ride down to Stretton on a motorway, say hello, then ride back to Caspar Castle on the motorway. Not my idea of a good ride out.
