Said on local radio news that the wind is going to be easing up slightly, but as far as I am concerned it can rain, blow, snow, do what it likes for the next week and a half just as long as Feb 1st is a fine bright beautiful day,
Coz that is the day

Look forward to it and enjoy the moment

A [serious] word of advice though........... be careful to start off with - she CAN bite!

There is a lot of horses underneath you - treat them with respect and you'll get on fine

Chuffed for you :)

Cheers Bert

I realised that there is a lot of power when I took her for a test run, it was a windy rainy day and part of the trip took me over a bridge over the M1 the wind was quite horrendous but the bike never wavered I was doing about 40mph at the time, I didn't get the chance to put the bike or myself to the test, but I could feel the power to the back wheel,I will be taking things very easy for a while as it is two and a half years since my last bike, as the time is drawing closer my grin is getting wider.

Good luck for the 1st Feb Derek. Hope the weather is good for it, I expect every member on this here forum would like a bit of decent weather soon.
Had an Octavia 1.8T for just over a year, great car, went well and sorry to lose it. Much better than the drudgy old Avensis I've now got. It's only redeeming feature is the consistent 49 mpg it returns.
One thing from memory though, is keep an eye on the oil level from new. They fill them with fully synthetic oil and it uses it up. First I knew was in Frogland when the oil light came on and there was bugger all oil in the engine. May not be the same with deisels though.

Hope you are luckier than I was. Picked up my new black one on 4th January. Managed about a 100 mile trip home but then spent the next week and a half in bed with flu. It was the real deal, completely knackered and useless for a week. Even now I am not quite up to biking it to work, Hopefully this weekend I will get out for a blast.

I thought my old VFR was powerful but even taking it very easy the new bird is in a different league, can't wait until it is fully run in and we get some dry weather.
