Even in your own home!!!
It’s for our own good dontcha know we can’t be trusted to own these things even on our own property, I mean anybody could go berserk at any time couldn’t they? besides, it’ll make the country a whole better and safer place especially as plod are arming themselves with more sophisticated weaponry than they have ever possessed before to the extent of using ammo that contravenes the Geneva convention.
Makes me feel so much safer so it does :eusa_whistle:.

A well over 2 year old law change that actually came into effect fully in march this year
As an edged weapons collector I have to keep ahead of the game on this stuff

So far have had to explain the law and link to the Government website in order to make a total of 4 police officers aware of (a) what constitutes a gravity knife, none of them had a clue and (b) carrying a penknife as clearly defined legal under the new rules does not constitute an offence

Dont think I am totally against the new laws because i'm not "zombie" knives etc are extremely stupid (crap as a weapon) but do encourage fuckwit kids to think they are the modern version of rambo ...... on the other hand no kid is going to pay out 500 quid for an original gravity knife to stab another fuckwit when mummy's 2 quid kitchen knife will do the job better

Ps There has been a raft of these posts by virtually every police force in the country one or two show the confiscated or handed in under amnesty "weapons" some are sad and funny in equal parts ...sad because I have seen historical and valuable swords, bayonets and knives off to the smelting pot, eg history destroyed .... funny because I have also seen butter knives, shears and hand saws in the same pile (usually accompanied my a smiling top brass copper looking well pleased with himself)

Yep! Grandstanding of the greatest magnitude.

Yep! Grandstanding of the greatest magnitude.
What rankles more than anything apart from the wholesale destruction of many historic artifacts is the fact that for all the showboating they have done nothing more than chain a wheelie bin outside the cop shop for ill educated folk to put their dangerous blades in

All of which does absolutely nothing to take weapons off the street and out of the hands of those that are causing the problems

Yet another pointless law. They can make as many laws as they like, but they're about as much use as tits on goldfish when it comes to cutting crime.

My suspicious is that the long term plan is to have so many laws in place that they can arrest you with the phrase "you are under arrest for being bad and you'll find out what for when we get back to the station and we pick something from "The Big Book of Naughty".
