I think that these cases are as reported, just junk. You have to remember that in 1990 Irac had the fourth biggest Army in the world, only China the USA and Russia had more armed forces. Big Armies Big Junk, particularly a semi defeated big army.
Why does anyone think that any new confrontation will be much different from the first one?
When faced with the awesome violence that modern technology can administer the only option is to get the $%&" out of the way. The Irac airforce will almost certainly bugger off to Syria or the like AGAIN. The allied aicraft will bomb the (*&" out of the local infrastructure and military positions AGAIN. Ground troops will then drive into the desert at their leisure AGAIN. Thousands of Irac's finest will give up AGAIN. If it goes this far (and who knows if it will) then the end will be interesting. GeorgeWBush will not allow the world to say that he is as much of a wimp as his father.
Mind you, in all of this the people that I feel sorry for are the innocent Iraci Joe Bloggses and their families that want rid of old Saddam as much as George W.

I wonder exactly how many Iraqies actually want saddam out though, other than the Kurds I don't think there's many.
If this does go to war AGAIN, I hope none of our UK boys get killed by over jumpy A-10 pilots AGAIN like in 90, or any other nations troops for that matter.
Controversial subject I know, but a true one all the same, which in todays theater of war should not happen.

The only reason
George W. will go to war is because his daddy said so. His old man did not have the balls to do the job properly in the first place. So he gets his boy elected then gets two of his old cronies to get on the team to make sure he does as he is told.
