Very similar to an incident witnessed on the A23 last year - got overtaken by an M Class Mercedes doing well over 80 while towing a caravan which started fish tailing madly for about 300 yards. Fortunately it corrected itself, the driver slowed down to probably 50ish to change his underpants... and bugger me he went flying past me again some miles further down the road... I was sat at 70 with the cruise control on all the time.:dunno:

Aint got a fuckin clue what did cause it ( other than apparently the geezer was shit faced )

I have had cause to drive a van home for someone else's van home for them when they were taken ill.
The twat had a huge back box on the rear mounted on a tow bar fitting and the struts across the rear wall. The box was chocka with booze ( cases of wine )
Lord only knows how far out of whack the van was, but the steering was as light as a feather.. Slightest bump and you could pretty much feel the front wheels skipping.. But it never did the tail wagging the dog thing.. And no one on any of the MH forums has ever seen anything like that vid either..

Its almost as if the rear shocks aint there.. But the arse end is not sitting low so def not over loaded

One thing that is very odd.. It looks like the door to the gas locker was already missing before the accident

On a lighter note - it was very considerate of him to end up on the hard shoulder instead of blocking the whole carriageway.

I've had my van up to french speeds and never had issues like that. We put all the booze under the seat behind the cab though. @tu*

good looking AND modest
I know "someone" who regularly goes "slightly" over the recommended speed limit, and has never had a problem with "snaking", but she makes sure the thing is loaded correctly, the amount of people you see having loaded the car or caravan incorrectly is amazing, it takes something spectacularly wrong to be able to do that to a mh I should think??:dunno:

Best we have had out of the Miller ( 4.1 t ) and the Autotrail ( 5.25 t ) is 90mph.. Just would not go any faster.. But then, they are more or less bricks !
