Squirrel just ran along our back fence, it was a grey squirrel but it’s entire head was red & it had a large patch of red on it’s side, no red squiggles round these parts as I’m aware, Mother may have holidayed in Scotland.

Can’t have been, I shot that.It was a Kangarillapig!
There’s reds up in jockland & I believe some on the isle of wight.I though the greys drove the reds out ?
Not too sure about the cross breeding thing for that reason ?

Used to have 2 sat on the wall outside my classroom window quite regular when I first started high school, we used to leave food on the window ledge for them, by the time I left all we ever saw was greysOnly place that I have ever seen red squirrels was Brownsea Island near Poole Dorset...
